Agata
Lottie helped me build financial confidence, I'm genuinely proud of how far I've come.
My name is Agata. I’ve been a client of True for almost two years, and my adviser is Lottie Kent.
I needed financial help post-divorce. Anybody who’s ever gone through divorce understands that there is a particular part of your brain which just stops working, the rational planning, strategic part of the brain. That’s where Lottie came in. She was very calm, understanding, and extremely professional. She told me not to worry, and it felt for a moment like the stress and agony lifted. She stepped in and took me through something I never thought I would understand.
I found out about Lottie and her financial advisory services in general from my solicitor, who highly recommended True and Lottie in particular. So, without further ado, I reached out. Lottie picked up the phone, thankfully, and there was no going back. We’ve been working together very successfully ever since.
I chose Lottie because she was so patient. She was so incredibly understanding and, most of all, she really does know her business. She doesn’t use spare words or spare concepts, she takes you right where you need to be, and then tells you that you can do it, which is incredible.
Lottie helped in a biblical way – she brought light where there was darkness. That is exactly how I experienced it, because looking at tons of documents and millions of questions was complete chaos in my head and she just made it simple and manageable, and throughout all of this, she always told me that she believed in me.
Working with Lottie makes me more aware of how important financial planning is. There’s a lot of talk about financial planning, which I just listened to and thought, “Oh, yeah, that’s good” but I was never one to do it regularly and diligently, and now I am genuinely proud of myself. I feel more secure in myself, more assertive, and more disciplined.
The three best ways to describe Lottie are that she’s incredibly well-prepared to do this job. She’s also a phenomenal strategist – she is always five or 10 years ahead of you thinking about how you are going to be spending time then, rather than just now or tomorrow, and she’s incredibly positive. She helps you to get yourself where you need to be, so that perhaps next time the question comes, you can, to some extent, answer it yourself. So, she’s an extremely good tutor and mentor.
The best piece of advice Lottie gave was possibly to slow down slightly, if not for a year, at least before I take another step into investing financially. Can you believe I am now considering investing? It was just unheard of before I met her. But she’s right. It’s time now to pull together, have some rest, and then we are going to go on to the next step, which is probably going to be something pretty amazing; watch this space.
I would never recommend anyone other than Lottie to whoever is in need of her expertise. I can definitely say that I am proud to recommend people to her, because I know they will be as happy as I am, if not even more, if that’s humanly possible.
