Hi, I’m Josu Shepherd, I have been a client of True since about 2020, and Lottie has been my financial adviser for at least five years before that as well.

When I first met Lottie, I was looking for assistance with my pensions. I’d left a few jobs, and I didn’t know which pension should go where. Lottie was very knowledgeable about how to manage all of my pensions. She put everything together and made sure that they worked efficiently for me, which was great.

I didn’t really understand my finances very well, and she was very calm and helpful and painstakingly explained every small detail to me a number of times because sometimes I don’t get things straight away. She’s very patient and explains things extremely clearly.

When I first met Lottie, she was working for another financial business and managed my account within that business. She instantly impressed me, and she was always accessible; she was always contactable and gave me great service. When she started True Financial Consultants, I couldn’t bear to lose her, so I decided to go with her.

Lottie is instantly likeable and instantly gains your trust by being direct, knowledgeable, and interesting to talk to about many different subjects, to be perfectly honest. She is interested in the whole person, not just the money side of things. So, she’s looking after the way that you manage your finances to look after your children, perhaps, or your family, and even the dog comes into it. If there are vet bills, etc., she will make sure that you have provision for that.

She’s looked after my pensions but also takes into account my income from all areas. Being a single mum on my own for some years and having changed my career two or three times during that time, I had my own business, I now work for different areas and do different jobs, and she’s very good at bringing all that together to tell me what I need to do, how much I need to earn, and where I will be if I do.

Working with Lottie is always a joy and always interesting, and she has been very helpful over the years to me, so I would not give her up unless I had to.

Looking at the future, Lottie fills me with confidence that I can manage my finances for as long as I need to and that I can keep my children well provided for along the way; it is always comforting to know that.

The three words I would use to describe Lottie are bubbly, vivacious, and professional.

For me, the best thing about working with Lottie is that I can understand my finances a lot better, and without her, I think I would be struggling.

The best piece of advice she has given me is how to bring all my pensions together into one pot so that I get the maximum benefit from them.
